Achieve Fest

Achieve Fest is a free, online immersion designed to explore identity, build networks, and develop the skills needed to thrive now and into the future.

The transition from school to work can be a bumpy ride - especially when the world of work is changing so rapidly.

Employers tell us that young recruits fall short on the skills they need to thrive, while young people often feel underprepared and overwhelmed by the transition to employment.

Despite these challenges, we believe young people are uniquely situated to take advantage of the changing world of work. We know young people have the strength, resources, and capabilities to face the unique challenges of the 21st century - and we want them to know it too!

That's why we created Achieve Fest.

Achieve Fest takes young people on a journey of self-discovery, from exploring their unique passions, to developing important life skills and taking real-world action on issues that matter to them most. Along the way they’ll participate in engaging online workshops and learn from inspiring individuals who have created careers of passion and purpose.

Achieve Fest is open to:

• Young people aged 12 to 18 years
• Educators
• Parents/guardians across Australia

Achieve Fest was launched to showcase the Achieve framework as an online immersion. All of the resources and materials are available at no cost via our online resource hub, Achieve Online.

Join us for our flagship immersive online festival, held twice a year.
Delivered for free and open to young Australians, educators, and parents.
Designed to help you thrive in the rapidly changing world of work.

What is Achieve Fest?

We have aligned Achieve Fest to the first three components of Prince’s Trust Australia’s flagship youth initiative Achieve, an inquiry-based framework that engages young people in learning through careers education and enterprise skills development.

They are:

1. Who I Am: A foundation block underpinned by research, it sparks ideas for participants to explore their interests and how they connect to potential career pathways

2. The Twenties: An ever-evolving set of twenty-minute micro learnings that develop enterprise skills and grow in complexity

3. Take Action: Align participants with a range of established local and global organisations that already have existing social action campaigns and work experience opportunities

How will the event run?

Achieve Fest is designed to be an engaging, personalised and interactive experience for all participants. We have intentionally curated the event to include a blend of online and offline activities, synchronous and asynchronous learning, as well as ‘passive’ and ‘active’ workshops. Many Achieve Fest workshops are self-directed and individualised (i.e. participants can choose from a suite of activities), and all workshops and Q&As take into consideration the diverse age range of our participants.

What will I need during the event?

We will email you with all the resources and instructions that you will need before the event.

If you're planning to attend Achieve Fest in a group, pair or class, we recommend that each participant has access to a computer, tablet or smartphone, as some of the workshops are personalised and will require participants to have their own device.

I'm an educator, how should I set up my classroom?

Firstly, you’re awesome. Thanks for your support! We recommend the following set up:

Use one computer to log into Achieve Fest and connect it on a projector or smartboard so that all students can see and hear the event.

If possible, it would be great to connect a camera so we can see you and your students (not essential).

There will be some group work during Achieve Fest, so for ease of movement during the event we recommend pre-selecting students into groups of 3 to 5 with at least one computer, tablet or smartphone between the group.

We recommend that each student has access to a computer, tablet or smartphone, as some of the workshops are personalised for each participant. If this is not possible, one device between 3 to 5 students is fine.

Need to factor in a recess break? See our program for how we have set up the timing for each day.
