The King’s Trust Australia is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural The King’s Trust Australia Awards.

These national awards reflect The Trust’s emerging commitment to support young people through education, employment, and enterprise pathways, while continuing to celebrate the successes of Australian Defence Force veteran and family entrepreneurs.

Building on the legacy of the 2022 – 2024 Beyond Service Awards, The King’s Trust Australia Awards will champion young people and those that support them – including individuals and organisations driving future-focused skill building, employment opportunities, and exemplifying the spirit of enterprise across Australia.

Four categories are open for public nomination, and two categories are limited to nominations from programmes associated with The King’s Trust Australia.

They are -

‍Commonwealth Bank Business of the Year Award: The peak award recognising the outstanding efforts of veterans, ADF partners and spouses in business(es). Open for public nomination.

Educator of the Year Award: Recognising the outstanding efforts of educators, mentors, trainers, and facilitators working with young people within schools and non-school environments. Open for public nomination.

Employer of the Year Award: Recognising the outstanding achievements of an employer or recruitment agency supporting young people from marginalised backgrounds into employment. Open for public nomination.

Rising Star Award: Recognising the outstanding efforts of a veteran or Australian Defence Force (ADF) family business owner/operator 35 years old and under. Open for public nomination.

Veolia Sustainability Award: Recognising the outstanding achievements of an individual, project or business whose innovative work is having a positive impact on the environment or local community. Nominee must have participated in a programme associated with The King’s Trust Australia.

Young Achiever Award: Recognising the outstanding achievements of a young person aged 16 - 35 years old who has participated in a programme associated with The King’s Trust Australia.
