Every entrepreneurial journey starts with an idea — Launch Lab gives you the tools you need to make your idea a reality while connecting you with likeminded veterans and family members across Australia.

Whatever stage on your journey, Launch Lab helps you figure out the life you want and, if appropriate, safely build a business to suit it.

Along the way, we'll support you to build the skills and confidence you need to prepare for, and respond to, the rapidly changing world of work. If you end up deciding self-employment isn't right for you, or you need a sea change, you've got some great tools in the toolbox to help you take your next step.

If you have already started a business or a side hustle, we encourage you to start your journey with us here. This programme is great for carving out much-needed time to work on your business, with the right foundations to support your business' growth.

A note on our work

The King’s Trust Australia works closely with our alumni, the Department of Defence and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to ensure our programmes meet the needs of Australia’s Defence community. This includes working with Defence Transition Coaches, trusted ex-service partners, and veteran community businesses.

We are guided by an Advisory Council, chaired by the Governor-General of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC.

We respect our participants and are committed to the highest safeguarding standards. Our programmes are trauma informed.
